Welcome back, everyone! As you can see, Chaos City has had a serious face lift. This is to give the site a fresh feeling as it slowly comes back from the dead. I set this as the default skin so everyone SHOULD be on default. If the site looks screwed up, you're not on the right one. I left the old ones in tact just in case this one hurt anyone's eyes (mine...). But understand that the other skins won't look right at all because the coding wasn't made for them. End of story. Anyway, welcome (back) to CC2.

Legalities
Sonic the Hedgehog, and all characters and ideas under the title belong to Sega. This particular forum and all of its contents belong to the members of the site, but mainly the admin. The layout was done by Pyran, but most of the graphics and coding used were provided by the members of Deviantart and Proboards Support who make it their business to provide such things, so long as we give a little credit. So, without further ado, I'd like to thank the following: Animus, ross, hpmad, EtonBones, Eichi, california, Wrighty, Spazz24 and Princess-of-Shadows from DeviantArt, and a huge, resounding thanks to Smangii for providing the code to make this forum not look like crap.

The sun lanced brightly between the buildings, shining hot against a small, orange-furred face, eyes lightly closed, the warmth of this morning sun seeping through his pelt. The sun was welcome relief, as autumn was coming in early.

The young fox was sitting against the side of a small convenience store, a sleek blue airboard resting across his knees. His eyes slid open, looking over the street. Cars flew by at at least fifteen over the speed limit, despite the heavy traffic, desperate to make it to work or school or somewhere equally important. Tails just grinned, sitting up and pulling black sports goggles over his eyes. He set the board down, adjusting a screw by hand, double-checking his handiwork before taking off on it.

Hidden in between two buildings beside the convenience store, a dark shadow watched the two-tailed fox closely. As Tails sped off on his board, a wide grin complete with sharp teeth spread across the shadow's face, it's eyes never visable even though it continued to watch the young fox..

Tails weaved easily in and out of traffic, ignoring the wildly honking horns and shouts that he watch where he was going. But he was watching where he was going. No one got hit, did they? He'd learned to ignore them a long time ago.

"All right, all right," he whispered to himself between a grin. He couldn't even hear himself over the wind. He made a sharp turn in front of a taxi and swept onto the sidewalk, jumping upwards, landing on a van for all of a millisecond before he was back on the ground, skidding to a halt. He took a deep breath and kicked his airboard up into his hand, catching it with practiced ease. Even Sonic would be amazed,probably.

A four-foot tall golden yellow fox walked out from where the shadow once was; between the two buildings. His eyes squinted in disgust for only a mere second as the sunlight greeted him. The sunlight made his face so... crisp. You could see everything; the white bandages around his forehead (they were clean, mind you), the stitched scar across his left eye, dark, sharp sunken eyes...
Black eyelids closing less than halfway, the fox gave Tails a smile and his long black tails swished lazily.
His left ear--the gray one which was sewn on--twitched and the four bones that were his fingers moved up and down as though loosing patients on both hands behind his back. "Who knew someone so young could be so skilled..."

He didn't know why, but he suddenly gripped his airboard close in front of his body like a shield, taking a quick two steps backwards. His ears went flat for a moment as he looked the new guy up and down. Maybe...it's just battle wounds?

"Er...thanks?" he offered.

Tails didn't shake the hand. He knew it was rude, but... His entire being rebelled at the thought of touching that...thing. What was that? The more he thought about touching it, suddenly he felt repulsion rising in his throat and his vision blurred slightly.

He swallowed hard. Managed a weak smile. Politely pretended the..."hand" wasn't there. "I'm Tails. Tails Prower." He was pretty famous, by association. Well, not as much lately, but he had been.

"Er...where you from?" That was the nicest of a thousand questions Tails could think of right now. The rudest was 'What in Hades are you?' but he still had his senses.
