Zappix looked over at him and smiled gamely, "Why? You looking for some butt kicking?" He got to his feet and stepped out into the sun, thought quickly withdrew and squinted his eyes, "Though, it would be alot better if we could fight in scottland..."

"Actually, it's better. Extreme conditions make fighting much harder for everyone, I admit. I would prefer if a sandstorm was tearing this part of the desert apart, but the heat will have to do some good," Hexon said, resheathing the Murasame, and dropping the three blades to the ground in a small burst of dust and acrid smoke, along with his jet-black trench coat falling to the ground as well. He seemed dressed fairly normally, if he could be called "normal". Of course, his entire upper torso was covered in white bandages, seen clearly due to the gray sleeveless shirt he wore. An amulet was resting on a chain around his neck, a red glint in the light showing that it was probably embedded, or made of, ruby. And silver-gray cargo pants... how odd. Must be one of the crazy people who would wear that kind of stuff in the middle of the day... in a desert.
"Let me rephrase the question... Ever fight in The Cage?"
(Only described because it's mostly new to his design.)

Zappix shook his head, "Man, they'd stick a boot in my *ss if I got anywhere near that place. Something about age regulations. Bull." Yea, he thought this guy was crazy. Dressing like that, talking about how he wished there would be a sandstorm to fight in, kills people for a living. And now he was hinting that he wanted to fight with ZAPPIX? Ahg! Not cool! Not here! But Zappix wouldn't let his pride down...be his luck if this guy beat the sh*t out of him and then jumped into his little chaos control portal all "see ya!" and leave him there in the heat.
"Why? Have you?" That was probably a stupid question, but he didn't particularly care.

"Actually, yes. Three times, if I remember correctly. It's fun, but gets dull quickly, with all the drunkards fighting at the same time." His smirk widened to a grin as he said that. "My guess is that they expected Mobians or Humans only, since it's actually much easier than I expected it to be..."
He shook his head, shifting on his feet, taking on a combat stance. Northern Shaolin Kung-fu was Hexon's specialty "real" martial arts style. He usually just freestyled it, personally, but it worked either way. He usually mixed both... Whatever. "Relax, I won't maim you or anything, if you're up for the challenge."

Zappix didn't answer, he curled into a ball and, pretty much spindashed without leaving the ground. Sand went flying in all directions and formed a cloud as his quills sliced through the soft ground and approched Hexon at an odd angle

Hexon couldn't help but smile. The kid had guts, he could say that. And a mobian, much less. The spindash explained that. Wonder if he was related in some way to anyone in the war against Xenos...
The thoughts only lasted an instant before Hexon took a step backwards to adjust his position, only to flip over the black and yellow hedgehog moments before he reached him. Normally, Hexon would think this was a stupid move... But, normally, he wasn't using a long-range attack in midair.
Green energy crackled in the palm of his hand before a burst of Chaos Energy shot down at the smaller hedgehog. It threw him higher into the air, but no matter. It didn't change much.

Zappix uncurled in a crouch and looked up as the area was ingulfed in a green light and he sped away, his shoes kicking up a bit of heavy sand at his first launch off his haunches and out of the way of the attack
The explosion made him fall forward and slide on his stomach, but he turned that into a sort of, ground flip, then was back on his feet. That wasn't fair...but no matter. Zappix dashed forward again, running in a wide circle and kicking up alot of dust until his figure disapeared in the cloud. He was trying to be crafty, so now maybe Hexon couldn't see how or from where he would attack, and for now, he waited to see whether Hexon's chaos ability would enable him to fly or if he would fall back into Zappix's dustcloud

Hexon paused, glancing around the cloud of dust. "Home-made sandstorm... Clever."
He cocked his fist back, closing his eyes. Sight or none, this would probably be easier. With his eyes closed, he could catch auras of Chaos Energy, which almost everything had, even if it was weak. Unfortunatly, when I said 'almost everything', I meant it. The sand blurred his vision in reality AND in terms of power. Perfect. This might take a minute...

Zappix suddenly slid, slowing just enough to change directions and he shot toward Hexon through the cloud. The sand, however, hurt his own ability to see so he was relying souly on instinct, not knowing how to since chaos energy like Hexon could. And he closed his eyes.
Once he figured he was close enough, he slid again. He was going fast enough to hopefully knock Hexon off his feet when he slid into his ankles. From there Zappix wasn't sure. "I hope he doesn't fall on me..." he thought and squinted his already closed eyes as he prepaired to make impact

Hexon looked around subconciously, and suddenly something threw him off his footing, literally. Using the momentum of the fall, he rolled backwards in midair, just in time to catch a glimpse of Zappix as he skidded by. There.
He narrowly landed on his feet, crouched down with both hands on the ground. Bad landing, on his terms. If he had landed standing, he could have attacked faster. And the makeshift sandstorm was becoming irritating. He snapped forwards, bursting out of the cloud of smoke, sand, and dust in a split second.
Better advantage, now. The sand was already starting to settle down, though, now that he saw from the outside. Great. He could have stayed there for another few seconds, stayed on the defensive...
Oh well. He lifted his open hand, bolts of green electricity flaring around it before he shot off three bolts of energy. Not too much power in them though. Sure, it made an explosion on impact, but the worst it could do was stun you for a few seconds. And to think that it actually took more concentration than fusing his three elements...

Zappix tried to role to his feet but about a spit second too late. Boom!
He yelped more in surprise than pain at first and did, indeed, sit there dazed for a moment. The sound of the explosion roaring in his ears over and over. But finally he shook his head and sprang to his feet. He didn't really know HOW to attack Hexon. He knew that a direct attack would probably send him sprawling accross the sand, a spindash would be too predictable, homing-attack was practically the same thing...hmm...ah heck. Why not try that? There were several boulders nearby that he could bounce off of so that's what he went with.
Curling up, he flew from rock to rock, to the ground, then to Hexon. He kept it tight so hopefully whatever, if anything, Hexon did to counter wouldn't uncurl him and leave him exposed

Hexon bared his teeth. As expectable this attack was, it was still extremely annoying. Knock one away, you can expect about three million more. In a row. Not to mention it was practically impossible to dodge on normal terms. He could only hope this kid wasn't that persistent.
He stepped back to brace himself, snapping his hand up and batting the shorter hedgehog away. Not too strong. Knock him too far away, and you wouldn't know if they would be able to attack again... and this mercenary didn't take chances. Speed was more than power on terms of a homing attack, after all, and you had to use speed against speed when it came down to that.
He took another step, obviously bracing for another attack that was probably going to come back at him, one that would probably be faster than the one before... Come on, kid, make an opening... he thought, watching Zappix intently.

Presistant? Zappix?! Never right?! Hmm..as unbelievable as it might be, Zappix's black and yellow spikey ball slammed into a boulder, making a spider-webed indentation before he bounced right back.

Hexon couldn't help but grimace. He had been right, and that was usually bad for his health. He lifted his second hand, the first impacting Zappix and 'Catching' him. Not really. It mostly just slowed him down to almost a complete stop, although the building pressure was forcing Hexon's arm to slowly give out. Act now. Without giving a moment of peace, he brought his free hand down, clenched into a fist, and knocking Zappix straight to the ground. At the moment Zappix went down, he leaped back, energy crackling in his hands.
Still no real opening...

Zappix crashed into the ground, sending bits of in in all directions and ultimatly leaving a small hole the size of his spear shape. But he back flipped out of it then charged at Hexon's stomach, one fist pulled back. Sure, it wasn't the most origional attack, but it was fast, hopefully fast enough for a surprise hit.
