Cyan's blue fur stood out in sharp contrast against the sun-baked sand. Her mechanical parts were threatening to overheat and the burning solar eye above her was making her blue metal parts blaze with the heat.
Skyran had gone missing. She was determined to track him, despite how darn hot and dehydrated she was. She kept in mind that Skyran might have water as usual in his amazing system. The aircraft was handy for everything, and she felt that he had some sort of personality--one that she liked no less. Other people thought of machines as little more than metal and wires meshed together, but Skyran was more than that. She wanted to know what was going on. It was easy enough to get GUN's permission, but Striker couldn't come along--he had other work to do.
Cyan sighed as she topped another ridge and her red eye scanned for metal while she tried to pinpoint Skyran's tracking signal. The problem was that the thin line of a railroad track in the distance kept distracting her sensors.

There was something large sticking out of the sand a few feet away from her, sure enough it was Skyran. But... the glass was cracked, and small pieces where here and there. A wing section was broken off and sticking out of the sand away from it. There was a large scratc across his side as well, the engines also appaeared damaged.
A few lights were lit up inside...

Cyan finally got her sensors to cooperate, plus it helped that she dimmed them down and let her normal organic five senses take over for a moment. Sure enough she caught the gleam of the sun on the metal, blinding her so bad she had to snap her blue eye shut.
"Skyran? Oh gosh..."
In a simple teleport she was suddenly standing next to the nose-dived ship half-buried in sand.
"What the heck happened to you?" She doubted that the machine would respond hence she quickly tried connecting to his system via wireless networking.

There was a click, thena beeping noise. "......Wh-wha?" He responded, a holo-screen popping up and quickly runnig a system check and a scan, it was a little staticy through.
"I think I broke something...Ugh... , Cyan is that you?" he asked, the engines started to hum and light up, but they quickly stopped and turned off. White smoke rose from them, it was a fire. There wasn't enough smoke, but it was clear his engines were broken.

With Skyran's intelligent personality built in, Cyan couldn't help a rush of sympathy at his voice. "Yea, you freaking broke something alright. You broke your everything! Sheesh, man!"
She coughed in the smoke and held her breath for a moment as she manually opened the cockpit and got inside. She booted her air-filter system and started breathing again without difficulty as she inspected the damage within the cockpit. There were several controls in here for jump starting the craft if you were spiraling out of midair or anything like that, but nothing of much use. "You need a mechanic, Sky, I'm telling you. Report," she added in the usual military term as she hopped back out and knelt to unscrew the vents to the engine.

"Well.... Engines- offline, cooling-online, Main System-Online, Radar-Offline, Weapons-Completely useless, Coffee Machine-Online, Water Holder-Online, Food Containment-Online, Stereo-Online, and Holo TV-Online!" He said, kinda happy about the last few fast things, he laughed, but it wasn't a joke.
"Anything thing else?' He asked.

"Sure, put that coffee machine to work would you Sky?" she asked as she pulled off the vent. Another cloud of smoke swept up into her face. Cyan ignored it, her sensors scanning the damage though she really didn't know much about how Sky worked. "Well you're looking pretty useless. No offense. I guess I'll have to call in GUN." She started establishing a connection via hitchhiking off some satellite.
"It's a good thing your cooling system is still running. Sky, what happened?" It was weird, but she felt sorry for him. 'Course Sky was much more than a machine. She had to resist talking to him like she often did to Reoku.

"Nothing happenend, my Engines just failed and my system shutdown. And please no! Just don't call GUN!!" He yelled, automacticly sending a singal, small, but it covered the area around him to block hers out. "Just pleaasee..." He said, he might've been on an ngle, but a cup of coffee was still poured, not spilling or tipping over.

"Hey!" Cyan objected as her signal was stopped. She stopped herself from growling. "Skyran, you're damaged beyond what I can repair. Or at the very least it would take me days to get you running half-way decent again. You'll be lucky if I can get you out of this sand!" She looked up at him with a half-desperate look in her eyes. "And your system just shut down, is that it? Oh, no big deal at all! Sheesh, what would have happened if I'd been riding in you when that happened? Would you have called GUN if my face was smashed in?"
Cyan was snappy by nature, it was just her personality, but she spoke harshly out of concern for him. Why didn't he want to tell GUN? He belonged to GUN, only they would know how to fix him surely. But then, if there was one thing about Skyran that certainly wasn't GUN-material, it was his sense of free-will. GUN was always very careful to wipe free will out of the system of anything mechanical that they owned.

"Of cousre I would call them! But I just don't want them to find the errors and bugs in my system! I've been hding them since I drove off on you that morning!! Do you know what they'll do when they find out? They reprogram me!! I don't want that, I don't want anything like that!" There were small humming sounds from the front of him, it was small thrusters, but they soon failed just like the engines. "D*mmit! Why it is this happening to me?! Why?!!" His blocking signal stopped. "Fine, go ahead call them. But don't expect them to let them, touch me once I'm taken back to the base..." He said, like a little kid. "If... I'm taken back to the base,..." He told himself.

Cyan's ears flicked back as she looked up at him. "No, I don't think I'd like them reprogramming you either," she said to herself mostly. She loved GUN and respected it, but even she had to admit that half of the commanders were cold-hearted baboons in suits. The other half were just as cold and might as well be machines themselves. And Cyan didn't much approve of what GUN was doing more recently: taking all mobians with powers more advanced than the rest and making them work for the government or nuetralize them. She knew perfectly well what would happen if Sky was reprogrammed. Everything that she liked about the free-thinking craft would be gone.
But if Sky had bugs in his system...Well, Cyan really couldn't do anything to help him.
Tentively she began re-sending the signal, but she stopped one again and bit her lip. "There's a mechanic over near the mystic ruins. It's a far run, but if you'd prefer..."

"Well let's see, I could drive over there if I wasn't stuck in the sand. I can't fly etheir, and with my front thrusters clogged and can't get out of this nose dive position! So..."[/c] There was a slight pause, then clicking sounds and other noises coming from inside the cockpit. "How the hell would I get there anyway?!" He suddenly yelled.

Cyan growled slightly in frustration. "I would drag him here by his two tails if that'd make you stop yelling at me. 'Cause if you keep that up I'll just have it be GUN anyways." She half-opened the radio waves again, and being connected still to Sky's system he would be able to follow her actions. "You don't need to be getting mad at me, I didn't put the bugs in ya and I didn't make you crash. So cut it out!" She jerked a wire within the vent with a little more ferocity than was entirely necessary. It snapped too far from where she'd wanted it too. Cyan sighed and pulled out a new wire from her stores, connecting it to the broken one and re-wiring it to some other chip.

"Fine fine, I'll stop yelling. Just don't damage anything more than it already is okay?!" His engine's sparked a little, it was ture that he couldn't do anything stuck in the sand like this. So it would just be best to wait for now. "The coffee is ready, by the way. What have you been doing for the past week?" He didn't want to say how long he had been here, but saying that made it obvious.

Cyan muttered something about that she would do the job but that didn't mean it would look pretty. She had no taste for perfection of little things, like making Sky's insides look new. It would be obvious that someone inexperience had been in him if anyone ever opened him up again.
"Me? I've been having a wedding. You should have been there, it was a small crowd." She smiled faintly to herself. Meanwhile, her hand disappeared from the rest of her and reappeared next to the coffee, picking up the cup before teleporting back to Cyan's body. That one was a more delecate trick. Cyan took a long drink and set it in the sand, laying down on her belly to see better and making her red eye shine like a flashlight for vision.
