"Yes, yes. I am a man of my word," Hexon replied roughly. "So you should get going. Restock your ammunition in case you still want to try again. The only difference is that this time, I'm EXPECTING you to come after me." Maya's stare had turned from Gyre to Hexon at this point. Maya had never been a fan of smoking - The smell of tobacco smoke was a personal disliking for her. She took a step back from Hexon and turned her eyes to Gyre once more... Right as he winked at her.
Maya couldn't say she had any idea if that meant he was joking about coming back to attack Hexon again, or if he was hitting on her. If anything, it resulted in her anger being replaced by confusion as she tried to decide which of the two it was.
Saria was back in the group now that Maya was more pacified, her violent anger faded. However, the timid girl retained her nervous nature, glancing around briefly before her eyes turned to Gyre, a slight grin on her face as she nodded. A thanks. Thanks for what? If Gyre had known the story of this ragtag team of Azekarans, then it would have made far more sense. Her tail swished once, lazily.
Hexon's gaze returned to Gyre briefly, the solid, emotionless stare seeming to bore a hole into his mind. But it lasted for the briefest of seconds as Hexon's attention turned to Maya, who shrunk away at the smell of the tobacco smoke. Hexon almost immediately snuffed it out in the palm of his left hand, the slightest of grimaces crossing his face. He could smoke later, he decided.
