Gyre looked up, raising his head to bask in the rain, though his gun was still trained on Singe and he could still watch the hedgehog out of the corner of his eye. But he wasn't watching either of them. "Kid, don't make this difficult. Why should I listen to you either? It's not as though I particularly care about you... I just hate it when people spit in my face after I tell them not to do something." He nudged Singe with the toe of one boot pointedly. "People like that don't live long in this world anyways, someone's gotta do it."
He paused for a moment, waiting. Gyre was having an off day...

Terios's tear-streaked eyes went wide in surprise. If Gyre didn't care about him, then... why did he speak to him a few moments before? He knew that he was sad, yet he didn't care at all? The hedgehog trembled and collapsed to his hands and knees on the ground, and cried. Singe growled at Gyre, baring his teeth. "Now look what ya did!"

"Ah, what do you care? I seem to recall you trying to turn him into a torch. Besides, in case you've forgotten, I have a gun at your face. I suggest you shut up."
Gyre glared for a long moment, turning the full force of his dark gaze on the hedgehog. His ears were perked slightly and he debated for a moment... The gun lowered and Gyre stepped away. "This mean you've decided to leave him alone then?" he asked sharply. "My patience wanes."
