The wind blew roughly against the side of an old barn that was set against a hill in a snow spotted meadow. It's boards were bent back in some places and there were holes in others, but if it was as cold out as it was now, then this was a nice place to seek shelter. Heck, it was probably the only place you'd see for a couple of miles.
Inside, the floor was littered with old dusty hay and wood shavings. Animal pawprints of all kinds were indented in the more dusty areas. Hay was shreaded and very thick in the loft, and it draped off it's sides, threatening to fall on any unsuspecting passer-byer who walked undernieth with the slightest desturbance above.
But rat poop and shavings weren't the only things on the barn floor. There was a pair of dark denum jeans, a gray shirt and a black G.U.N jacket on the floor too, that looked like it had been placed there maybe a few minutes before. A Gun holster was attached to the belt of the jeans, the handgun still in it and a pair of underwhere and a bra to go along with it all.

The wind was picking up severly, and the cold tempature's werent making it any better. Nix was out here, feeling colder by the second. A few hours earlier, he had been caught in a snowstorm and had been looking from somwhere that would signify "shelter" for now.
He came across a barn, that looked abandoned due to it's exterior. Not seeing anywhere for mile's, this was a "breath of fresh air" for Nix(thats a saying) as he started to walk towards it. He opened the old door of the barn, noticing the rust on the handle. He walked in and settled down in a patch of hay, right beneath the loft.
He never noticed the clothes on the floor, and had no idea they were there, or even anyone else was there. He saw some sharp hay falling from the loft, heading straight for his neck. He simply pointed at the pieces of hay as a small lightning bolt disintegrated them.

There was a small rustling in hay of the loft above Nix's head, then stillness for a tence moment that seemed longer than it was. A low growl suddenly broke the silence, and on the edge of the loft, crouched an animala cougar. The thick fur on the back of her neck was spiked and her tail lashed behind her. A wild furiosity lit her amber eyes like two embers from hell and her sharp black claws unsheathed as her "growl" turned into a three-beat roar as she opened her mouth and showed off her long white fangs, ears flat to her head.
Jade's feral form wasn't like many others in the story book. She actually turned in real earthly cougar, seeming to have no mobian heratage. She might, one day learn to control when she changed and what she did while she was in her unconcious feral state, but for now, she was driven by pure instinct of the wild, and that reflected in the angry look on her face.

Nix felt a shiver down his spine as he heard somewhat of a low growl. He shrugged it off, until he heard the roar. "Ok, whoever is up there can cmon out now" said Nix, sounding all calm and mellow. He never really was scared of anyone he ever met, because the only way to be truly scared of someone is to underestimate them. Nix never underestimated anyone, whether they be friend or foe, and certainly wasnt going to underestimate this cougar. After not hearing an answer, he just walked out from below the loft, until he was in the middle of the barn. He looked around, but didnt see anyone, as he scratched his head. "Whoever this is, is up on the loft..." thought Nix, still looking around confused.

A weight suddenly slammed into his back from above, forcing him to the ground. However, there were no sharp claws that were digging into his shoulders, there were no fangs closing on the back of his neck to fracture his spinal cord. Instead, there was short, loud breaths at his ear as the cougar sniffed him uncertainly.
A loud purr rumbled from her chest and she gave his ear a lick, sitting on top of him so he couldn't get up and she closed her eyes mutually.

Nix felt the cougars weight slam straight into himself as he waited fo something to happen. He felt the cougar start to lick one of his ears, and started to struggle, trying to get up. Either this cougar was a playful one, or was just tasting him so that it could eat him later. One of his hands started up like a sparkler though, and if this cougar did plan on eating Nix, he would make the hand crackle up more and have the lightning shock the cougar.

Apon that movement, Jade went from cute kitty to deadly beast who needed some serious tranq shots. She snarled and placed her mouth around the back of his neck, laying beside him with her hind feet under her and one paw over his back, though she didn't bite down. Clearly not impressed by his small light show and she glared at it, not really realizing that the sparks were HIM. She let go of his neck and instead, grabbed the back of his jacket and started pulling him gently away. Growling.

Nix felt himself being dragged by his jacket, and wondered where he was being dragged "She could have killed me...but didnt" thought Nix, just realizing this was a girl. "If you can understand me, then i will give you a fair warning. You let go now, or else!" said Nix sonding as vicious and as angry as the female cougar.

Jade popped him on the head with a heavy, soft paw, her claws sheathed as he spoke. She couldn't understand him, but she didn't like his tone. He sounded aggervated but like she cared. And she finally stopped dragging him once they were about 3 feet from where they started and she let him go.
One of her large front paws raised and she gave it a few viggerous licks before she swipped it over her ear, purring and then stared at him through narrowed eyes.
((peh, i'll change her back next post since she's not trying to tear anything up))

"Alright,have it your way" said Nix, as right when she stopped dragging him, he hopped up. The hand grew in a larger sparkle,this time crackling. He held it downwards, and stared at the cougar. "Your gonna pay for that!" he yelled as he ran at the cougar, throwing the attack forward. "Lightning Edge!" he yelled, throwing the attack

Jade let out a loud snarl as the lightning hit her, unable to dodge the speed of light of coarse. But she quickly rolled to a crouch and sprang low, at Nix feet. All to obviously, she'd lost intrest in being friendly, and the wild killing light returned to her amber eyes

Nix, before he knew it, was knocked from under his feet. He fell, trying to throw a hand down and lift himself up. His eyes started to glow white, as he know had the full intention of not knocking this cougar out or hurting it, of obliterating it completly!

Jade's fangs locked on his leg, though they didn't bite down to a point of breaking the skin. Instead, she let go, her fangs shrinking as was her body, her black claws also shrinking and her paws turned into fingers.
She retreated, and in one massive spring, leaped up into the hayloft and disapeared behind one particularly large hill of hay. A small, yet bright blue light flashed briefly then all was still.
"Oh great...no--ouch!" A finimin voice came from the same place the cougar had just disapeared to, and then a whimper of pain.

Nix realized that the cougar had leapt away from him, jumping into the loft. "Get back here!" he yelled as he jumped up on the loft. He heard a sound of pain from one of the piles of hay, and brushed it away. What he saw, in the pile of hay, was the same cougar, who didnt look like it at all. Instead, she looked alot better. Nix raised his glasses to make sure he was seeing correctly, and found out he wasn't dreaming. "Hey, you alright?" asked Nix, looking down at the female cougar.

Several words escaped Jade's mouth, that would get her thrown out of any public place as she jerked a large amount of clodded hay over herself.
"What the h*ll are you staring at! BACK--OFF Bud!" She snarled, alarm making her snappy. She wondered in paranoya where her clothes were, or what this guy who SHE took for a pervert was trying to pull. Her eyes, now brown, glared daggers up at the hedgehog and her teeth bared in outrage.
