A handsome young hedgehog strode down the pathways, trying not to hit anyone with the spear he was twirling absently. He had spoken to some of the city higher-ups, and he was lucky: they handed him some papers that said he could carry it where ever he wanted.
Matrym grinned. This was quite the grounds for a hunter such as himself.... Hunting for flesh? Goodness, no, hunting for a girl and a good time. He had already convinced a few to lead him off onto a rollercoaster or some such, and the day was still young.
He subconciously touched the scar around his neck, then stopped twirling the spear to toy absently with the chain around his wrist; that chain was what had given him the scar. Mat stopped fiddling with the chain when he looked up and saw the prettiest hedgehog he had ever seen. He slowly made his way towards her.... And the dice rolled in his head. Sh*t, she's taken.... Mat turned and walked away.

Flame wandered down the dimly lighted streets. The black tip of his orange tail swooshed angainst the cool pavement. A few cars zoomed by. The words of his parents echoed in his head. " Don't you think you're a little young to have a girlfriend?" He was furious. His hands curled into fists. I'm 12. That should be old enough He thought. He could never think of giving up Giga. Maybe Flame's parents didn't like her because she's a panther, and they're foxes?

((We're in a theme park, dude. No streets.))
Matrym looked up, noting some kid that was kinda upset. Should he, or shouldn't he....
Ah, f*ck it, why not?
Mat fell in beside the kid, matching his pace. "You look happy," he said with a voice full of sarcasm. He gave a slight trouble-maker's grin, and turned his head to look down at the kid. "Wassamatter? Your mom not letting you on a rollercoaster with the big kids?"

"Ah shaddup. That's not the problem. My parents think I'm too young to have a girlfriend. I don't think that's very fair. Got any ideas that could could change their minds?" Flame asked the hedgehog that was walking beside him.
Let's just hope he does. He told himself, as he waited for an answer, from the seemingly nice stranger.

"You see, this is the girlfriend I'm talking about," Flame told the Hedgehog. Still waiting for advice, he sighed. He was desperate. Giga was his best friend. His girlfriend! He could never give her up. "Come join us Giga, maybe you have some advice!" Flame called out to the panther.

((Manta, your post contains a frowned-upon practice we consider "powerplay." What that means is, you controlled Fire's character. This piece right here: Flame looked arround but saw nothing. That's entirely up to Fireball. Let him decide if he looks around and sees nothing, or if he looks up because that's where the voice was coming from, or if he doesn't look at all, knowing that Giga would drop down beside him. Also: You have no control over another persons character's speech without that permission. If you have Fire's permission, disregard that whole thing, but please try to remember your lessons with Colt and Sonikku.)) Hmm. That was a slight complication. Too young, perhaps, but not always the case. Mat looked at the pair, saw the smiles on their faces as they looked at each other. Hmmmm. It just might work out between those two. At least, if they didn't try anything stupid. Most of that was stuff they probably didn't know about yet, so that was good news for the couple. If they did, Mat would probably throw up. It was possible, too. Youth today surprised him to an amazing degree. The young hedgehog's mind worked furiously. He had never been in this position, seeing as his parents died brutally when he was nine, but he had a good head on his shoulders, and he could use it when he wanted to. "Here's how I see it. You could try keeping up the Romeo and Juliet routine. That's working so well, isn't it? Awright, check this out: one thing that you could try is pretending to break it off. It would have you two not seeing each other for about two weeks. All you have to do is fall into a great depression, which is likely would actually happen, so there wouldn't be much acting. You know, cry yourselves to sleep and all. Your respective parents may hate the significant other, but they love you. They would be crushed to see you crushed, and you could very well wind up with them accepting you together in hopes that they don't see you depressed again. You taking notes, kiddo?" Matrym cast a sidelong glace at the two little tykes he was walking next to to see if they had paid any attention to his monolouge. He was tall for a mobian, at three feet four inches, and these kids couldn't be more than twelve. They looked positively diminuitive next to him. He could have hidden one of the anklebiters in his pocket, it seemed.

"I don't know, Giga. My parent's would freak! I like this guy's idea better. That might mean we can be together for ever. Even if we have to split for a couple of weeks. Wadd'ya say?" Flame answered. He hoped Giga would say yes. She was right. They were inseperable. But it was worth a try.

Matrym took a diplomatic course. "It's the short-term pain for the long-term gain. Think about it for a minute." He suddenly stopped. There was a twenty dollar bill on the floor in front of him. "Huh. Third time today." He walked on, disregarding it. He had enough cash on him. "Anyway, there's a little bit of an effect about me. I'm ta'veren. Fate can sometimes be twisted for people who are just in the same city as me. I'm talking luck, kids. I'm the luckiest son-of-a-b*tch this side of the universe, and it rubs off on everyone. Really, watch. That game-" Mat pointed to a ring game, where one was supposed to toss a ring to get a prize. "-is rigged. The columns are just barely small enough, so a perfect throw has a low chance of landing right. A slight breeze, and you cannot win. Problem is, I'm here. Check it out."
The child mobian took the three rings he was given and tossed on. It landed perfectly. He tossed a second, and it landed perfectly, too. The third followed suit. The vendor's eyes popped, but he got his rear in gear and gave the prizes.
"That's my luck. I hope it helps you guys get together." He tossed another grin their way.

Mat sighed, wondering if he'd made a mistake. "Uhgm.... There's a slight danger to that plan, but it's a danger that was there the whole time. What if your parents decide to move away? That'd suck loads, but there isn't really much you can do, 'cept elope to the orphanage or something." Matrym shrugged. "Well, see ya." Mat turned on his heel, and found himself walking in line with a gorgeous fox. He struck up a conversation, and eventually they veered off towards the Logger's Revenge, a water ride.

Ok, so two weeks without Giga... Flame thought to himself. Mom and dad never move away, but who knows? We did move from our farm to the city, but they would tell me at least a month in advance! Wouldn't they?
Flame turned around and ran to catch up with Giga. "Giga wait! I want to spend the rest of my walk home with you!" he shouted.
