"She said that you'd meet us there... After awhile there was an explosion... A white flash... Then I was on the Sky Vorp ship... alone, crying... Blood stained on my fur..."

She leaned back againest the wall, sliding down it into a sitting position. "They never told me... Where I was... I thought it was 2012... When I first got there... I didn't know..."

Pyran's tail flicked again, taking another step. He crouched down reluctantly in front of her. "You know I have no idea what you're talking about," he said simply but firmly. He was surprised at how little her tears affected him. But then how many times had Pyran slaughtered the screaming child and the horrified mother and father? 'Course...he'd been insane and had no idea what he was doing during those times, but still.

"Try not to cry. Please. I know that's a hard request. But keep talking. What happened then? Who's 'they'?"

He stood up slowly to stand next to her. Hesitation shone in his eyes, plain in his face, but slowly he reached out and rested his hand on her shoulder. "Let's get out of here...where'd you send us anyways?" Pyran started walking to get her to walk. Anything to get them going. Pyran flicked one ear back and nodded, gently leading her towards the door and opening it. Outside the air was clear (for the city) and cool, carrying the salt and fish scent of the ocean. "Then maybe I'll have to remind you."

He moved his hand from her shoulder to around her body, stopping still. Pyran pulled her towards him and hugged her tightly. It was almost comical really, seeing as how they were the same age and Hikari was actually taller. But Pyran was hugging her not as a lover, but as closely as he could imagine that a father would hug his grown-up daughter, his daughter who had stepped out of ignorance and seen the dark side of the world...and was horrified by it. Pyran hugged her in his strong welcoming arms, taking even breaths, ideas that she might be a liar wiped from his mind.

"I love you," he said simply. "Remember that."

Hikari's eyes widened, she definately wasn't prepared for it, not at all. She was barely shaking, but the tears had gotten worse again, through her lonliness had been washed away by the hug. She slowly put her arms around him, barely still shaking and crying, but she felt happy, normal happy for once.

"I lvoe you too... P-... Dad..."

Suddenly there was a beeping noise, constant and it sounded important, it was from Hikari's waist. The little black communicator on her belt was flashing with whtie light's, which mean't only one thing. They were gonig to teleport her back soon.

"Get away..."
