Life after SkyCorp

It hadn'e been long since the defeat of Sky Corp, and evrything was supposed to be back to normal. But, when was anything every normal in this world? Aura had let the three fellhounds and Refia stay at her place, which was kind of a mansion. It wasn't extremely large, but it was big enough, many of the hallways were decorated with old paintings or old Hurricane Tribe relics, but this place was extremely expensive too. There were huge TVs and computers, even a giant kitchen, ten fridges!

Aura sat stood leaning on a railing looking downtowards the first floor, staring at the door, a pillow in her hand. She knew Gyre was here, somewhere, Refia and Bane were out in the city... And Jet? Well, he was bound to come in at any moment. So she intended to throw the pillow at him when he came in, for fun anyway. Goodthing everything in this place was fireproof.

((Heheh, even pillows, Aura?))

That woman must by psychic, because Jet was now making his way up the steps. He didn't look too happy, he actually looked...well somewhat mortified. He'd gone out to get some clothes that weren't tattered and torn or blood-splattered and he wasn't too happy about what he had come across... In the chaos afterwards, though, things went pretty smoothly...save for trying to get the clerk behind the counter to stop cowering long enough to scan the tags.

Jet reached for the door and pulled it open, stepping into the entry hall. "Aura, I--"

"Target sighted! Attack!" Aura jumped over the railing, smoothly landing in front of Jet and tossing the pillow at his face. Through, it was a pillow it couldn't do much damage could it? Then again, when you combined the force of the throw with her wind powers... Anything she threw was going to hurt, including pillows... But it was soft, so, maybe it might hurt so much.

She was laughing also, this was one of her many ideas of having fun.

Jet was slammed right to the ground by it, "HOLY CATFISH!" He blinked heavily, clearing his eyes, then immediately his hand found the pillow. He threw it right back at her with a dark smirk, though it'd probably miss. "Hey, hey, I'll show you surprise attack, cat!" He jumped back up and lunged for a tackle.

"I don't think so!" The pillow easily missed Aura and she lunged at Jet as well, ctaching him first and tackling him straight to the floor. Purring and smiling as she gave him a tight hug. "I've got yoou now! You can't escape from my grasp!" She started laughing again, through Aura quickly released Jet and stood up.

"How was the mall?"

Jet laughed, relieve and joy washing over him. Until she got up and reminded him why he was down five seconds before.

Jet rolled over and brushed himself off before gaining his feet, a tight frown on his face. He could tell her about the freakish hedgehog and his ability to snap bloody visions before Jet's eyes...but what did it really matter anyways? Jet didn't want to talk about it.

So he forced a grin and shrugged. "Some officer I think recognized me--he must have worked with GUN before. But he left me alone when some hedgehog started making a mess of things. Other than that, nothing much happened." He shrugged.

"Oh... Hey, wanna see something cool! It was buried in the back yard! So I dug it up! It's a huge relic, there's even some of your runes on it!" She rushed off, turning and heading off down one of the hallways and stopping at a pair of metal doors which led out into the backyard... Well backyard wasn't the right word for it, at first it started out as a small clearing of grass, a garden and then a dense miniture forest, so the yard was pretty huge.

"Hurry up!"

[Pyre]

"My runes?" Jet repeated. What were the odds of that?! Right there in Aura's back yard. He considered that maybe someone had planted the relic there. Or maybe Aura had brought it here and accidentally lost it on the way.

He joined her outside, his flames giving a healthy flare in the breeze. It felt good to be free, free from GUN and Sky Corps and whatever else. "Alright, alright, what is it?"

Aura had indeed dug something up in the back, it was way too big to have been brought here. There was a bunch of holes everywhere, and sticking out of the ground was a huge shrine like building, infact it looked more like a bunch of buildings, it was like a small village! Infact, some of the trees in Aura's yard went very deep, so they may be just as old as this place. Each building had runes on it, Fellhound runes, even Hurricane and Blizzard Tribe runes.

"Isn't it amazing! It was hard to dig up! But this is it, I wonder how old it is..."

[Pyre]

"I wonder how the heck it ended up in your back yard!" Jet countered in astonishment. "Have you shown Gyre or Refia or anyone?" He asked, running up and standing on the corner of a roof that was barely poking out of the ground. "Did this used to be...I don't know, something? I mean, we must be lucky little canines." He crouched down and brushed some of the dirt off the corner of the roof. A familiar old insignia of protection winked back at him in the sunlight, glowing with its own faint white glow.

"I don't really know what it is... But you know what's funny? I can read all my tribe's runes that are on here! I wasn't able to do that until I finished digging it up!" She rushed over to a stone pillar that was partily ruined from all the damage time had caused to it.

"No, I don't think I todl anyone else yet... Hold on." She looked back to the house, the windows were open soo... "GYRE! COME OUT HERE NOW!"

[Pyre]

There was silence for a long moment, then the fellhound's voice shouted back. "WHAT?!"

"SHE SAID GET OUT HERE, NOW MOVE IT!" Jet shouted in return. He chuckled and turned back to Aura, circling the stone pillar slowly, looking it over. One of the runes seemed vaguely familiar, like one of Gyre's, but for the most part...

"Ho, who's trying to dig up dinosaurs?" Gyre's voice came from behind Aura and Jet as he approached.

"I dug up this old stuff! It has our runes on it!" She turned around and started going over each and every rune, looking at it, memorizing it for later... "Hey, this section looks like a keypad... It's ancient but..."

She pressed one of the runes, and it went in then popped back out like a button, there was an ancient keypad on this thing! Like a lock of somesort. Aura pressed another rune and there was a shifting sound, one of the stone buildings suddenly and a wall opened up, leading inside. "I've opened it! Let's go see what's inside!"

Gyre gave Jet an uneasy look like they usually would have shared, but Jet just laughed. "Ah lighten up. It's gotta be hundreds or thousands of years old. What could possibly happen?" He ran on ahead after Aura.

Gyre scowled. "The keyboard still works, that's reason to believe any booby traps might be working too..." he said darkly. But he rushed ahead. They'd need him he supposed if anything went wrong.

They had come into another room, through it was much larger on the inside. The building looked very very tiny on the outside, but inside the room was huge! There were old cloths hanging here and there on the walls, the roof had small sky lights in it to let light in, even through this place was poorly lit. At the end of the hall was an old stone table, surrounded by old books and tomes, ontop was a large map. Carved perfectly into the table, which was conveintly made of marble, the only thing in the room still in perfect condition.

Aura stopped in front of it, staring down at the map. It showed the grasslands, and even where the wind village was, forests, foothills, a few lakes and rivers, Gale Mountain, and even the massive desert, which was also marked with locations. "Hey! Look at this! It's a map of all the Tribal regions!"
