((Couldn't really think of a title...))
The sky was bright, and the neighborhood seemed to be cherry, full of life, even through there weren't many people outside. But the sky wouldn't be bright for much longer, it was getting late and dark clouds were starting to roll in, with the promise of rain.
One of the homes, a fairly new one which had been sold a few months back was home to three, or two currently, the third still had to return.
Relka stood in the basement, looking over the guns lined up on one side of the wall, this room in the basement was usually locked, but she liked to come in here sometimes. Just to stare at her guns and relax while Hikari was upstairs sleeping.

A sleek, black metallic bullet bike stopped in front of the house. There were two black cats sitting on it, roughly the same age (a fact that both found disconcerting, all things considered). They paused, waiting silently, just looking at it. Then one of them turned around and looked at the other. "Er...you going?" "I'm working on my courage, here. Shut up a second." "...She isn't that bad, is she?" "Usually, no. But I've been gone a while." Pyran cringed, imagining how well this conversation would go. "So, my dearest husband, where have you been?" "Oh, just in jail again, my sweet." "Oh? Did you have fun?" "Yea, great fun. I killed my father, by the way. Then I found our daughter's older time-traveling self. She's being hunted by high-tech psychopathic murderers from the future, by the way. I left her alone, figured she could handle it. Oh, but don't worry. I left her in the capable hands of a man who was created to kill me. He gives her regular electrical shocks." "Ulgh...she'll rip my fur off," Pyran moaned, head down. Zale didn't say anything, just waited. Yeeaa...guess I'll have to get it over with. "You sure this is the right place?" Pyran asked. "This is the address the hotel gave us." "I still can't believe she moved while I was away." Admittedly, though, he had been gone a really long time. "Phffff... Alright, I'm going." Pyran jumped up and walked across the yard to the door. He couldn't help but think a few bitter thoughts at Zale when he heard the leopard's bike zoom away. He raised his fist and knocked.

A shotgun was placed on back on the rack, fully loaded, the problem with it was, it was a little to big to be a shotgun, she had scary things in this place. Relka's ears twitched at the sound of knocking from above, she walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her and heading up the stairs to the first floor.
Once she reached the door she knew she didn't have to look out the window to find out who it was, she already knew, no one came to visit her, except Dawn, but never at this hour. She gripped the knob and turned the lock, opening the door very slowly.

((No visitors? Wraith might drop by once in a while--he still thinks Hikari's his kid. ...And rightly so.))
Pyran stepped back from the door, far back, ears flat against his skull. He was grimacing.
Inside, though, his heart was soaring. He hadn't noticed how starved he was for her, and though he was scared to death of her at the moment, he wanted so bad to throw his arms around her and... well, he couldn't quite allow his fantasies to run rampant right now. She still might claw his face off.
She looked good. Real good. He'd missed that pretty face. That cocky little stance of hers when she was winding herself up for something. That thin frown.
It hurt, in a way, knowing that she had every right to slam that door in his face.
"Uh...hi," he said lamely. "I, um...I'm the local hobo, and I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood." He jerked a thumb at the general populace behind him and attempted a grin.

((Forgot about Wraith. ^^; ) Relka just stood there silently, thought about slamming the door in his face, but she stepped out of the way and left it open for him to walk into the house. "Get in..." She spoke with no emotion in her voice, which could only mean one thing, she was definitely p*ssed off at Pyran, but she didn't show it. "Hikari's sleeping upstairs... So, be quiet..." "So, where were you this time?"

((He wants me to inform you that he is deeply offended. ^^ ))
Pyran suppressed a shiver he couldn't entirely explain as he darted in through the door. He managed to get his fur to lie flat and he faced her.
"I um...it doesn't matter..." It mattered very much, but just the same...well, excuses, no matter how relevant, had never seemed to have gotten him anywhere with Relka. Even the explanation 'Oh, someone tried to kill me' would be unlikely to get sympathy out of her. A fact that Pyran rather resented.
"Speaking of Hikari, though...you should know, her older self is around again. In our time. And, uh...getting herself into quite a bit of trouble."

"I already know about Hikari, she helped me move here... and, as for what she's involved in... I know alot about that too..." Relka shut the door behind him, and sighed, she wasn't going to let her anger control her, not this time, and she was glad she was wearing a long sleeve shirt, so she could hide the bandages on her arms.
"Why are you here?"

"I think I had some vague notion of attempting to fulfill parental and spousal duties. Now, I'm...not really sure."
He sighed and leaned one shoulder up against the doorframe. He gave up wondering how he could possibly fix this. It wasn't fixable. She could, by some grace, ignore it. It wouldn't be the same. His eyes were distant, the wood floor making impossible patterns to his tired eyes.
"I guess a small part of it was also being afraid." Scared to death. "On many levels."

"Hikari really missed you, she wouldn't stay quiet... Since you left..." Relka walked away from the door and towards the nearby kitchen. "Come on..." She sighed, what would be the best thing to do from here? Honestly she didn't know, she had no idea what to do now, through part of her wished she had brought that shotgun up here to ruin Pyran's face.

"Could I go see her?"
Pyran was now watching her with a touch of unease. Relka...well, she wasn't quiet herself. In a lot of ways, that was a good thing. He got to keep his face, right? But still...he made sure to stay a few good steps back from her.
"Relka...um.... Certain things have happened. Since...I've been gone. Can we talk?"

"Talk?" Relka stopped and turned around, staring blankly past Pyran, the word seemed unfamiliar, right now, alot of things seemed that way to her, she wasn't sure why. "Yeah, sure..." She forced herself to smile, then looked away.
"We can talk... Then, you can go up and see her..."

They'd reached the kitchen and Pyran dropped down into a chair. He pulled one leg up after him, arms and tail wrapping around his knee. He was hunched low, ears flat, looking just a little pitiful. He let the silence stretch, thinking what to say and how to say it. What could he say? She'd throw him out. She should. He needed so badly to talk to someone... Relka, I'm going insane again. Relka...Relka, I killed a man. Relka, I keep hearing voices. Relka, there's something wrong with me! Relka...I-I see faces. Faces of people I've killed, and soulless red eyes. Relka, I met a woman in the woods. She shouldn't have been there. She was from the lab I was brought back in. I killed her two years ago. She said I wasn't safe. Relka, I'm not safe. Not like a child isn't safe in a bad neighborhood. More like a knife. A knife isn't safe. Is never safe. A knife should never be around a child. I shouldn't be around Hikari. Relka. Relka, I'm scared...
"Relka.... Look, just tell me. Do you ever wish I hadn't been brought back?"
His red eyes bored into hers, just a little desperate. At the same moment, the doorbell rang.

"Pyran I..." Relka turned her head in the direction of the door, she wanted to say something badly, but she didn't feel like ignoring whoever was at the door ether. "We'll finished this in a bit..." She stepped out of the kitchen and over to the door, looking back only once before she opened it.

Pyran hunched a little lower, eyes closed. Relka hadn't answered. But the question wasn't entirely just for her. "I do. Sometimes."
The door opened to mismatched blue and amber eyes, a lithe shape leaning against the entryway. He looked cocky, spine bent further than looked comfortable, feline tail held out to one side. He was far too agile for his age and lacked the broad shoulders and chest that someone in their late thirties should have. He wore a grim smirk that didn't light those eyes and his long ears were pressed back. It was a familiar face. Even Relka should recognize it. Even if she hadn't seen much of it.
"Before you shoot me, you should know this involves quite a few lives," the drake said, arms folded in front of him.

She should've slammed the door, didn't really feel like getting involved in anything anymore, she'd dealt with enough already, and just wanted a normal life, but she stepped out of the way for him. "I'm not really... Into shooting people in the face or blowing them up anymore, what do you want?" She glanced back to the kitchen, but, she'd be able to talk to Pyran soon, say what she had to say.
"I'm kind of busy right now..."
