Pyran slowly let go. This wasn't anything he wanted to deal with. He just got back...
"What do you want me to do about it?" he asked, brushing off his hands. He knew this involved him. Knew he should be doing something. But he...really didn't want to. Didn't want to care, didn't want to find Druyin, didn't want to kill anyone no matter how much they deserved it. Didn't want to deal with freaks from the future. Was it too much to ask to live a normal life? At least half-way normal...
"How do they keep timetraveling? Maybe we could stop it." And people like you could stop showing up at my door.

"Stop it? We? Ah no, no. I was just here to tell you about the switch up and everything, you... This isn't your war, you won't be fighting in it. Unless it comes here of course, but that's unlikely." Kain turned halfway to leave, and he smiled at Pyran.
"I don't want you to do anything, just sit at home and be a father... Good luck." With that, he turned around fully and started to walk away.

Pyran gritted his teeth, more lost than a blind man, watching the strange cat's retreating backside. "That's it? That's all? What the devil am I supposed to do with that?!" he shouted after Kain. Lashing his tail, Pyran threw open the door and went back inside.
What was he supposed to do?
Hikari wasn't Relka's kid. She didn't need to know that. He wouldn't tell her. He didn't need to know that. But he could put it away. Whatever. Forget about it.

Relka sat on the couch in the living, staring at the TV, her head turning in the direction of the door as Pyran came back in, she couldn't see him from here, but she could tell something wasn't right. "Pyran you okay?"
The voices from the television buzzing in the background. "The military announced today, that they would begin hunting down the remnants of Sky Corp. To cease all of the activities that are being carried out by the remaining soldiers that are still loyal to them."

Pyran walked in slowly, wanting to think things through, but his mind didn't really want to cooperate at the moment. "Yea, I'm fine," he said tiredly, sitting down next to her. He rested his chin in his hand staring at the television with glazed eyes and trying to take some of it in. "Just some punk kid at the door doing some crack prank."
"So..." he said slowly, trying to move the conversation away, "do you think that includes hunting down that white fox and her dragon hubby? Not that they've managed to so far, but I'm curious."
Just sit at home and be a father. "Wanna go to the park? Hikari would love it."

"They're both normal civilians now, Azel's a doctor too. They wouldn't be hunted down after the government cleared all charges." Relka put an arm around Pyran and smiled. "The park? Ah, well... Hikari would be really happy... Yeah, sure, why not." She stood up slowly, planting a kiss on the side of Pyran's face.
"You know, I'm really glad... That the fighting's over, so you can stay and spend time with us..."

Pyran was smiling up at her, blood roaring in his ears. Let's hope that doesn't change, hun. Hope it doesn't have to. Stupid war. My future self had better be doing something to stop it, you know? It occurred to him, then, to wonder why his future self wasn't...doing more. Traveling with Hikari or Zale or Kain. What was going on?
His smile faded, but he stopped worrying about it. "Hey Relka. I'll bet you fifty dollars your sister and brother-in-law are about to have another kid. Wanna take me up on it?" He stood up and left to find Hikari. "I'll meet you outside!"
