With Cloud and Haden on their honeymoon, Storm and Mat' were obviously left alone at their house. After all Storm still hadn't moved in with Mat' technically. Things had seemed like a normal day at first, beautiful sun all that jazz, but unfortunately things went rock bottom for Storm and would for Mat'. When he'd get home the house would be completely trashed, there'd be blood on the walls, and then as if somebody was watching him, the phone would ring, and obviously since Storm was gone, Mat' would have to pick it up...
Mat stepped in the door, then swore loudly, gripping his spear tightly. He went through the house from top to bottom, finding no trace of anyone. He did, however, notice the blood on the walls. That made him pause. If that blood belongs to Storm.... He then thought. She would have fought back; she was no pushover. She made that obvious enough when they met. She did have telekenises, which would have made some kind of difference. They would have needed extreme force.
But that was a force that Mat was willing to face. He was about to vow very dire things when the phone rang. He looked over at it as though he'd never seen it before. F*ck, he didn't have time for phone calls. He needed to think.
So, then, I think I know who it is, and I know where he is. I can't just burst in, though. I need a plan.... The phone stopped ringing. They've probably gotten rid of James, now, and given the job to a better qualified thug. I think I'll need to-- The phone started ringing again. Mat's head snapped towards it, then he frowned. That usually meant it was important. More important than Storm? Heck no. But there was also a matter of urgency. He stood, walked to it, and picked it up. "Hello. This is Mat."
"Hello, here from you Mat'. We got a little treasure of yours," the toad's voice rang through the phone wickedly. " You know, I can't get over how pretty she is. Think fire might burn the pretty away? Oh, wait she wants to talk to you..."
There was a brief pause and some shuffling in the background. Then she could be heard. " Mpht....pmphh....Mampht...hmphh!..." Then there was shuffling again and the toad's voice could be heard.
" You want her to live correct? Well, bring me a couple hundred thousand of her brother's cash, and I may let her live..."
"I'll bring you a million of my own, you fat f*ck. I know where to meet you." Mat slammed the phone down on the reciever hard enough to break it. He then gave a long, long rant of swearing. He would have to go and visit the apartment again, where he had actually been stashing money ever since this began. He very well knew that this was a possibility, but he had prayed to the Light that it would not come to be.
He cast his spear with a scream of rage, putting it into the wall. He then took several moments to gather himself, eyes closed and head down.
When he raised his head, his eyes opened, burning with unbridled fury. He would invent tortures that would make masochists wretch. He would commit acts that would make a Nazi shrink in horror. He would kill that sh*tbag in a manner so horrible, nobody would be able to believe that it was not done by an animal. If anyone could find enough remains to classify them as organic, that is.
